Should you remove the film from your CarPlay infotainment screen? It depends

The clear film on a new CarPlay infotainment screen is typically a shipping protector; leaving it on can cause adhesive to melt and damage the display, so it should be removed unless the manufacturer indicates otherwise. Some models have permanent anti-glare or fingerprint-resistant coatings that appear removable but must not be peeled off, as doing so can ruin the screen. Always verify with the maker or documentation before stripping any film.
