Show HN: MultiMatte, a Promptable Image Background Removal Model

MultiMatte, released by Feyn, is an open-source background-removal model that accepts textual prompts to keep specified objects while discarding everything else, using Meta’s SAM 3 detector and alpha-matte masks for finer edge handling. Benchmarks show S-measure improvements from 0.674 to 0.908 on DIS5K (34.6% relative gain) and from 0.792 to 0.901 on DUT-OMRON (13.7%).
