Show HN: My Claude quota ran out in 10 minutes, so I made a tool to find out why
The open-source tool “tare” teaches Claude Code to read its own request logs, letting users ask plain-English questions about token consumption without dashboards or extra commands. It subtracts the container-level overhead—repeated context and sub-agent costs—to pinpoint the exact sources, such as specific projects, files, or automated sessions, that drain quota. The utility also deduplicates log entries, generates shareable HTML reports, and can export data for spreadsheet analysis.
