ParqDB creates an IVF-LVQ8 index of MiniLM embeddings for 100 k Wikipedia articles and stores it as immutable Parquet files in object storage. The browser loads only the necessary byte ranges via HTTP range requests, runs the embedding and LVQ8 ranking in WASM, and returns results without any query server accessing the data.
