Singapore’s Nexstrom wants to bring 2D semiconductors to chip fabs

Singapore startup Nexstrom is developing the North Star system to grow transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) directly on 300 mm wafers, aiming to enable 2-D semiconductor integration for chipmakers. The company has raised $12 million in seed funding, plans to scale its 12-inch growth platform through October, and expects commercial production readiness between 2030 and 2035.
