Slack wants to drag AI coding out of the terminal and into the group chat

Slack introduced Slack Code, embedding AI coding agents such as Anthropic’s Claude Code, Cognition’s Devin, GitHub Copilot and Vercel’s agent into dedicated Slack channels where teams can view diffs, live previews, and audit trails while the agents execute tasks. The workflow lets anyone—engineer, product manager or designer—to tag an agent, trigger a project-specific channel, and receive automated pull requests, test results, screenshots and demos, all managed through new agent DMs and an Agents tab.
