The Slate Truck is affordable because you have to 'bring your own tech'

The Slate Truck starts at $24,950 for the “Blank Slate” model and can reach $46,493 with optional equipment, making it the least-expensive U.S. pickup and the cheapest EV before fees. It lacks a factory infotainment system, relying on a driver’s smartphone or tablet connected via a built-in USB port, with optional speaker kits ($149.99–$249.99), a Bluetooth steering-wheel button, and a $275 telematics subscription for door unlocking and battery pre-conditioning. Three body styles—open-bed pickup, enclosed SUV, and fastback—share a removable roof kit and a 4-inch reverse-camera LCD mounted behind the steering wheel.
