Software Engineering in the Agentic Era

The author launches a structured series called Agentic Engineering Patterns, documenting coding practices for using autonomous coding agents like Claude Code and OpenAI Codex that can generate, test, and iterate code without constant human input. The first two chapters address the negligible cost of initial code generation and how test-first development (red/green TDD) improves agent output, with new chapters planned at a rate of one to two per week.
