Solid-state batteries just went into mass production. The line makes 6,000 packs a year

ProLogium began mass-producing all-solid-state lithium-ceramic cells in Taiwan, achieving 381 Wh/kg energy density verified by TUV Rheinland and meeting China’s GB/T 43568-2026 standard. The Taoyuan line supplies 0.5 GWh annually, about 6,000 80 kWh packs. A new French gigafactory in Dunkirk will start at 0.8 GWh in 2028, scaling to 44 GWh, with French subsidies and proximity to a nuclear plant. Mercedes-Benz partners with ProLogium. The company has shipped 2.4 million cells, including 10,000 automotive samples.
