Sony and UMG are suing Suno again

Sony and Universal Music Group filed a new lawsuit against Suno, alleging that Suno’s v6 AI model infringes their copyrights. The labels argue the model was trained on outputs from earlier Suno models that used unlicensed music from YouTube and other sources, a practice they call “model laundering.” Suno has not signed a licensing agreement with either label.
