Sony phones in an update to the midrange Xperia 10 and slaps a sizable price hike on it

The Xperia 10 VIII keeps a 6.1-inch 2340×1080 OLED panel, Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, 8 GB RAM, 5 000 mAh battery and 128 GB storage, but its display is 50% brighter and speakers 15% louder. It adds a double-tap power-button shortcut for digital payments, a 50 MP f/1.9 main camera, a 13 MP ultrawide lens, and an 8 MP front camera. In the UK it costs £549 (~$750), £150 more than the previous model, and will be released in September.
