Sony unveils new PlayStation Pulse wireless headsets with 'planar magnetic' sound tech

Sony released the PlayStation Pulse and Pulse Edge wireless headsets, both using planar magnetic drivers and PlayStation Link for ultra-low latency audio across PS5, PlayStation Portal, PC, and Mac. The Pulse Edge features double the magnets, deeper bass, active noise cancellation, and a detachable boom mic, while the Pulse includes AI-enhanced noise-rejection microphones. Neither headset is yet available, but the Pulse Elite retails at $149, suggesting the Pulse Edge will be pricier.
