Anthropic’s threat-intelligence report details how the company intercepted multiple attempts to misuse its Claude model for cyberattacks, influence operations, surveillance, biological-weapon research, scams and illicit AI-distillation by Chinese firms such as Moonshot and DeepSeek, which employed thousands of fake accounts and millions of real queries. The report also notes that researcher Jacob Coxon left Anthropic two months before his equity would vest, citing safety concerns over the technology.
