Meta AI researcher Andrew Tulloch, formerly of Thinking Machine Lab and among the firm’s highest-paid staff, is leaving Meta. Anthropic researchers Jacob Coxon and the Alignment Science lead warned that competitive pressure is accelerating unsafe AI development, estimating over a 10% chance of AI causing human extinction within ten years.
