SpaceX to use NVIDIA GPUs for its Starmind project — Here's what they'll face in space

SpaceX’s Starmind project will employ NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin NVL72 rack-scale system, with each AI-1 satellite housing roughly 72 GPUs and CPUs delivering up to 175 kW of compute while drawing 210 kW from solar panels. Results will be sent via high-speed laser links on Starlink, heat will be expelled through 1,700 sq ft liquid radiators, the first satellites are slated for launch in 2027, and the program targets up to one million units in low-Earth orbit.
