StarCraft returns in 2030 as an open-world shooter
Blizzard announced that the StarCraft franchise will return in 2030 as an open-world shooter, after the 2002 project StarCraft: Ghost was canceled in 2014. Dan Hay, a Blizzard VP, revealed the new title at BlizzCon and presented a cinematic trailer. The game departs from the series’ real-time strategy roots.
