Steve Ballmer got suspended by the NBA because of a podcast and a jumbotron corruption scandal

Steve Ballmer received a one-year NBA suspension, a $30 million fine and the forfeiture of five future draft picks after an investigation found his denial of a $28 million endorsement deal for Kawhi Leonard to be false. The league’s 35-page report, commissioned from Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, concluded Ballmer’s statements were “inaccurate at best” and “clearly false.”
