Stop Touching Your Keyboard. Use This AI-Powered Microphone Instead

Relay, a London-based startup founded by former Nothing AI and hardware leaders, is launching a macOS voice-to-text app powered by Google’s Gemini models, with a dedicated portable microphone called Relay Q slated for early 2027. The app activates via a hotkey, supports contextual “Skills” for apps such as Slack, Gmail and WhatsApp, and stores transcription data locally, transmitting only transient snippets to Google’s servers.
