Students prefer Gemini over ChatGPT and Claude for AI essays in blind tests

StudyArena’s blind test of 6,851 student votes found Google’s Gemini chosen for college-essay help 39.6% of the time, ahead of Anthropic’s Claude at 31.8% and OpenAI’s ChatGPT at 29.2%. Longer responses performed best, winning 47.7% of comparisons, while higher-effort settings generally reduced choice rates.
