T-Mobile’s Gopalan turns to home internet and AI after a 25% slide

Srini Gopalan, CEO of T-Mobile US, says the carrier will prioritize home-internet and AI growth rather than quarterly share-price targets after its stock fell 25% since his September appointment. He gave no comment on a proposed full merger with Deutsche Telekom, which would cut the German state and KfW’s combined stake from about 28% to roughly 17% and needs 75% shareholder approval. Elliott Investment Management has taken a position in Deutsche Telekom and is urging abandonment of the merger in favor of share buybacks.
