Tado’s new thermostat is designed as a Nest killer

Tado is launching its second-generation Smart Thermostat X, a Matter-over-Thread device designed to capture European customers following Google’s exit from the regional thermostat market. Cofounder Christian Deilmann expects further growth as Google phases out support for older Nest models, which currently maintain significantly higher market penetration than Tado’s existing hardware.
