Tailcat: Secure Tunnels in Seconds (Tailscale)

Tailcat is an open-source tool that creates WireGuard-encrypted point-to-point tunnels using Tailscale’s magicsock data plane without requiring the Tailscale control plane or an account. Connection metadata is exchanged out-of-band, the link boots via a DERP relay and upgrades to direct UDP when possible, and the CLI/library supports file, text, and TCP port forwarding across Linux, macOS, Windows, Docker, and various package managers.
