Tailwind Labs is joining Shopify

Tailwind CSS, installed over 110 million times weekly and used by companies such as ChatGPT, X, Cloudflare, Reddit, and Shopify, is being transferred to Shopify for long-term maintenance. The framework will remain MIT-licensed and its open-source projects will continue under the same team, while commercial offerings like Tailwind Plus will stop accepting new customers.
