Tencent Releases and Open-Sources Tencent Hy4 Preview

Tencent released the open-source Hy4 preview, a 770 billion-parameter LLM with 49 billion active parameters and a context window over 1 million tokens, accessible via WorkBuddy, CodeBuddy, Yuanbao, Tencent Cloud TokenHub and OpenRouter. In internal blind testing with 163 experts on 203 engineering tasks, Hy4 scored 2.99/4.00, surpassing GLM-5.3 and Kimi K3, and showed marked gains in coding, office analytics, game prototyping, and scientific research, while its self-optimizing loop boosted inference throughput by 31.8%.
