Tesla Cybercab is barely real and it’s already under investigation

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened an audit query into Tesla’s Cybercab to review the data and processes used for its certification. Regulators flagged the vehicle’s lack of mandatory FMVSS components, including side-view mirrors, pedals and a steering wheel, which are required for legal road use.
