Tesla sets 1 October for the next-generation Roadster reveal

Tesla will unveil its next-generation Roadster on 1 October, the first confirmed date since the 2017 concept debut and the missed 2020 production target. European reservations require a €43,000 deposit (€4,000 by card, €39,000 by wire within ten days); the U.S. version costs $5,000 plus $50,000. No customer has taken delivery. The teaser shows taillamps and four roof-mounted circles that could be SpaceX cold-gas thrusters. Tesla’s European registrations fell 17% in January despite a 14% market growth.
