Tesla’s Semi finally enters production, nine years after it was shown

Tesla has begun volume production of its Class 8 Semi at Gigafactory Nevada, delivering the first trucks this week. The Long-Range model offers 500 miles at 1.7 kWh/mi, the Standard 325 miles, and charges at up to 1.2 MW, adding 60% of range in 30 minutes. Tesla is installing over 100 MW-capable charging stalls at 21 European sites, though the truck will not arrive in Europe until 2027.
