Hundreds of Republican candidates for statewide and federal offices openly express hateful ideologies, share racist content, and affiliate with white supremacist and antisemitic groups, many endorsed by President Trump. Over 500 state-legislator candidates belong to far-right Facebook groups that promote militias, gun rights, and Christian nationalism, per Institute for Research and Education on Human Rights data. Extremist rhetoric correlates with a 19% rise in terrorism incidents in 2025. Capitol Police threat assessments increased 58%. The US Marshals Service reported nearly 400 judge threats.
