TikTok’s US joint venture joins Lantern child safety programme and pledges $2M to NCMEC

TikTok’s US joint venture has joined Lantern, a cross-platform child-safety network that shares abuse signals such as accounts and content, and has pledged $2 million to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The donation will fund search, automation, and analysis tools that aim to cut manual processing time in half and deliver faster, usable reports to police over a three-year, $10 million upgrade backed by AWS, Microsoft, and Palantir.
