Tim Cook is leaving Apple with a largely positive environmental record, having set industry-leading targets to cut product and supplier pollution and maintaining a flat carbon footprint despite rising emissions at rival tech firms. However, Apple’s push into artificial intelligence is expected to make meeting those climate goals increasingly difficult.
