The Transformers: The Movie re-review: Still the best (and it's not close)

The 1986 film features a voice cast that includes Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime, Frank Welker as Megatron and Soundwave, and Orson Welles as Unicron, whose final performance added gravitas to the planet-eating villain. Leonard Nimoy voices Galvatron, Robert Stack portrays Ultra Magnus, and Judd Nelson voices Hot Rod, whose character arc drives the story. Vince DiCola’s synth-heavy score, highlighted by Stan Bush’s “Dare” and “The Touch,” complements the film’s 1980s aesthetic.
