“Trust, not features, is the real deficit”: VMware tries to appease SMBs

VMMware’s pricing has become prohibitive for many SMBs after Broadcom’s acquisition ended perpetual licenses and introduced costly subscription bundles, especially the flagship VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF). SMBs consider VCF unaffordable and overloaded with unnecessary components, yet sales reps continue to push the bundle and claim that the lower-priced vSphere Standard edition is no longer offered.
