TU Darmstadt found the people who know AI best fear it most

A TU Darmstadt survey of over 2,000 Germans found that 43% of respondents with very strong AI knowledge expect AI to soon replace their work, compared with lower expectations among less-informed participants. Only 15% have received any AI training despite the AI Act’s literacy requirement, and concerns focus on hallucinations and data-protection rather than superintelligence. Younger workers show higher anxiety than older ones, and job-security worries have risen across all occupational groups since last year.
