Twitch and Amazon face a class action over livestream AI training

A Twitch streamer filed a 37-page class-action complaint in federal court alleging that Twitch’s August 12 amendment to its Terms of Service gave Twitch and Amazon a broad license to cache user content and use it for generative-AI training. The complaint points to the revised clause, new privacy-notice language about “testing and improving technology, including machine learning and artificial intelligence,” and Twitch policies that forbid data mining, arguing the changes exceed the original license, which ended when creators deleted their content.
