Twitch and Amazon hit with lawsuit for training AI with streamers' content

Streamer Warren Pandiscia filed a class-action lawsuit alleging Twitch and Amazon used his and other creators’ streams as an unlicensed dataset to train Amazon’s generative-AI products, violating contracts and causing financial loss. Twitch recently added an opt-out setting for AI training, but company officials said the default is opt-out because “nobody would opt in.” The complaint joins earlier suits against tech firms such as Apple for similar unauthorized content use.
