Two Google alumni raise $11.3M to back AI startups that enterprises will actually pay for

BAG Ventures, founded by former Google executive Bontia Stewart and ex-CapitalG partner Jackson Georges Jr., closed an $11.3 million early-stage AI fund. It has invested in 10 companies, including SXD, BizTrip, and Nomadic. The firm targets AI infrastructure, compute, edge AI, security, governance, and vertical SaaS, providing $100,000–$500,000 checks and direct customer introductions to accelerate monetization within 24 hours. It focuses on deterministic, workflow-integrated solutions that capture proprietary data and avoid reliance on frontier model APIs.
