Two more news organizations sue OpenAI and Microsoft for copyright infringement

The Seattle Times and Newsday filed a lawsuit against OpenAI and Microsoft, alleging the companies trained AI models by scraping their copyrighted articles without permission and bypassing paywalls. The plaintiffs claim this practice harms their business by diverting traffic and advertising revenue to AI-generated content and risks hallucinations that misattribute false information to the outlets. They join other news organizations, such as the New York Times, that have sued AI firms over similar copyright concerns.
