The UAE plans to invest €40bn in Germany, including 1GW of data centres

The United Arab Emirates will invest €40 billion in Germany, allocating roughly 1 GW of capacity for new state-of-the-art data centres as part of a broader digital-infrastructure package announced during Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s state visit. The agreement also creates a German-UAE Investment Council, a Strategic Dialogue, and a data-embassy initiative, while €10 billion of the funds target Bavaria’s industry, AI, and energy-security projects.
