Uber is laying off 10% of staff, or 3,300 people

Uber is cutting roughly 3,300 jobs, about 10% of its global workforce, by slashing management layers 20% and eliminating teams of one or two members by half. The restructuring merges engineering, science and delivery divisions, consolidates delivery operations across restaurants, retail and direct segments, and limits remote work to under 1% of staff.
