Uber put $100m into the company that hired Anthony Levandowski

Uber invested $100 million in Atoms, a venture founded by former CEO Travis Kalanick that hired ex-Uber self-driving chief Anthony Levandowski to lead its robotaxi program. Atoms, which acquired Levandowski’s mining-automation startup Pronto and employs over 2,000 staff, lists Uber among its equity partners while denying plans to enter the saturated robotaxi market.
