Ubisoft apologizes for accidentally selling Heroes of Might and Magic 3 without the actual game files

Ubisoft uploaded a Steam bundle for Heroes of Might and Magic III and its three expansions that contained only a 23.4 KB placeholder file, causing launch errors and negative reviews. The company posted an apology, replaced the package, and confirmed the corrected download works. The bundle was meant to promote the Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake, scheduled for 2027 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with updated graphics and new planning tools.
