UBS now wants AI skills from its junior bankers, Financial Times reports

UBS will require all 2027 graduate and intern applicants in Global Banking and Markets to demonstrate concrete AI use—showing a specific task, the model’s input, and the improvement achieved—alongside traditional academic criteria. Successful hires enter an internal “AI Fluency Pathway” that teaches real banking use cases and responsible AI practices, marking one of the first large banks to formalize such a requirement.
