UK fintech funding has fallen to its lowest level in at least a decade

UK fintech funding fell to its lowest level in at least ten years, with first-half 2026 totals at $1.5 bn, a 26% drop from 2025 and 35% from the second half of 2025. Late-stage deals fell 45% to $830 mn, while seed funding rose to $145 mn, leaving the market concentrated in a few large rounds such as Paymentology’s $175 mn Series A.
