UN report says global warming will surpass the goal of 1.5 degrees Celsius

The UNEP Limiting Overshoot report states global temperatures will exceed 1.5 °C and urges an “overshoot, peak and decline” strategy that cuts emissions and adds large-scale carbon-dioxide removal.
