Up to half of planned US data centres face delays or cancellation, Kimmeridge says

Kimmeridge Energy Management estimates that up to 50% of U.S. data-centre projects may be delayed or cancelled because of political backlash and infrastructure challenges. This could lower projected gas demand growth from 5–10 billion cubic feet per day to the lower end of that range. More than 500 U.S. jurisdictions have imposed restrictions. States such as New York, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Ohio have shifted from support to litigation, a trend that could reduce U.S. LNG export volumes to Europe.
