US and China agree a super intelligence dialogue and incident channel

The U.S. and China will hold a U.S.–China Super Intelligence Dialogue, with the next meeting in November 2026, and will establish a bilateral channel for reporting SI incidents, including a national-security alert system. They agreed to use “super intelligence” instead of “artificial intelligence” and to prevent the dialogue from becoming global governance. Trade provisions lower tariffs on $30 billion of non-sensitive goods each way. China will import at least 10 million tonnes of U.S. coal in 2027 and 2028, and rare-earth and critical-mineral talks continue.
