US regulator approves $1.9 billion loan to spin up Iowa's dead nuclear reactor for Google

NextEra Energy received a $1.9 billion loan from the U.S. Department of Energy to restart the 615-MW Duane Arnold Energy Center in Linn County, Iowa, with power slated for Google’s AI data centers.
