US safety regulator says it is evaluating Tesla’s Cybercab rollout

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is evaluating Tesla’s Cybercab robotaxi after the company launched the service on Thursday in limited areas of Austin. NHTSA officials have contacted Tesla to review the new autonomous ride-share operation. The evaluation follows the vehicle’s first passenger-carrying day.
