Utah won't enforce VPN age-verification law until legal challenge resolves

Utah’s Department of Commerce announced it will not enforce SB 73, the state’s VPN-targeted age-verification law, while a federal judge considers a challenge brought by Aylo, the owner of Pornhub. The law, effective May 2024, would deem any user physically in Utah as accessing sites from Utah and could hold websites liable for facilitating VPN use, prompting privacy-rights concerns.
