Ventures Platform goes bigger — and broader — with its second Africa fund
Ventures Platform closed an oversubscribed $84 million second fund, extending its focus to Kenya, South Africa and Egypt. It will invest up to $3 million per deal in early-stage fintech, healthcare, SaaS and AI-enabled companies over the next three to four years. The firm emphasizes AI’s role in reshaping cost structures and notes that limited partners now require clearer performance metrics, capital efficiency and stronger governance following a recent venture downturn.
